This is the cookie statement of Ruby Foundry B.V., trading as Boei, hereinafter: Boei. Boei is registered at the Dutch Chamber of Commerce with number 99995662 and is located at Mulderstraat 35 (3581GP) in Utrecht (The Netherlands). This statement explains which cookies we set, why we set them, and how you can manage them.
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file that is sent along with pages from this website and stored by your browser on the device you use to view the website. Cookies allow a site to remember information about your visit, such as your session or preferences.
Three places where Boei cookies may be set
Because Boei offers a chat widget that runs on other people's websites, Boei's cookies can appear in three different contexts:
- boei.help (our public website)
- app.boei.help (the Boei admin application, used by customers to manage their chatbots)
- Customer websites that embed the Boei widget (the widget sets a cookie in the visitor's browser on the customer's domain so the AI can remember the conversation)

Cookies on boei.help (this website)

Beyond the consent-required analytics and advertising cookies disclosed in the next section, Boei does not set any additional tracking pixels, retargeting cookies, or third-party social-media cookies (Meta/Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter/X, TikTok) on boei.help.
Analytics and advertising on boei.help (consent required)
On boei.help we use Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads (including the Google Ads conversion linker) to measure campaign performance and understand how our marketing pages are used. Google Consent Mode v2 is implemented: these tags default to denied and only load the cookies listed below after you accept them via the cookie banner. If you do not accept, none of these cookies are set.

We use Plausible Analytics for privacy-friendly, cookie-less aggregate traffic metrics (no cookies, no personal profiles). Plausible is loaded regardless of your cookie choice because it does not process personal data for analytics purposes. We do not share advertising or analytics data with brokers and we do not use these cookies to build personal profiles or to retarget individual users.
You can revoke your consent at any time by clearing your cookies and reloading the page, or by choosing the "essential only" option in the cookie banner when it reappears.
Cookies on app.boei.help (the admin app)
When you sign in to the Boei admin application, the following cookies are set. These are strictly necessary to keep you logged in and to protect your account from cross-site request forgery.

Cookies set by the Boei widget on customer websites
When a Boei customer installs the Boei widget on their own website, the widget sets the following cookie in visitors' browsers, on the customer's domain:

This cookie is set on the customer's domain, not on boei.help. The operator of the customer website is the controller for that cookie and is responsible for obtaining any required cookie consent under the EU ePrivacy Directive and its national implementations. Boei customers can disable the cookie-setting behaviour of the widget from their business settings inside the Boei admin application. Chat and AI assistant (Boei)
We use Boei (Ruby Foundry B.V., the Netherlands) to operate the chat widget and AI assistant on our website. When you send a message through the chat, the following data is processed on our behalf:
- The content of your messages and any information you voluntarily share in the conversation;
- Technical data such as your IP address, browser, page URL and a random identifier stored in the
widget_load_keycookie that allows the assistant to continue an earlier conversation; - Any contact details you provide (for example name, email address or phone number) so we can follow up.
Boei acts as our data processor. To generate AI responses, Boei may in turn send the content of the conversation to a third-party AI model provider (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Mistral or Google) for processing. These providers process the data transiently to generate a response and do not use it to train their models.

Note: the exact wording you need depends on how you use Boei (for example, which AI provider you have enabled, whether you have turned off the cookie, whether you collect leads, and where your visitors are based). The above is a starting point, not a substitute for your own privacy review.
What Boei does not use
Beyond the Google Analytics and Google Ads conversion-tracking cookies disclosed above (which only load after consent), Boei does not use:
- Retargeting or remarketing pixels (no Meta/Facebook Pixel, no LinkedIn Insight Tag, no Twitter/X, TikTok, Pinterest, Reddit, or similar)
- Third-party social-media tracking cookies
- Cross-site tracking of visitors or data-broker integrations
- Cookies that build personal advertising profiles or enable individual-level targeting
Browser settings
If you do not want websites to place cookies on your device, you can adjust your browser settings. Note that if you block the strictly necessary cookies listed above, parts of our website or admin app may not function properly. You can also delete any cookies that have already been placed; consult your browser's documentation for instructions.
