Multiple Websites

Run Boei across several websites (businesses) from a single account. Each business gets its own widgets, and can have its own chatbots and FAQs, while sharing your team, inbox, contacts, deals, and billing.

How to get there: Go to Setup in the top menu. The Business Switcher sits at the top of the Setup submenu.

The Business Switcher

Whenever you open Setup, the switcher shows the business you are currently editing. Click it to pick another business or add a new one.

The switcher scopes:

  • Business (Profile, Preferences, Channels, Data Retention, etc.)
  • Chatbot (the list only shows chatbots for the selected business plus any Global chatbots)
  • Widget (widgets are always tied to one domain)
  • FAQs (the list only shows FAQs for the selected business plus any Global FAQs)

The switcher does not scope:

  • Inbox (conversations from every business are always visible)
  • Contacts, Deals, and Analytics (account-wide by design)
  • Team and Billing (one team and one subscription per account)

Team members, agency branding, and API keys also stay account-wide.

Adding a Business via the Switcher

The fastest path from anywhere in Setup:

  1. Click the Business Switcher at the top of the Setup submenu
  2. Click + Add business at the bottom of the dropdown
  3. Enter the URL of the new business
  4. Click Create

You are dropped into the onboarding wizard so you can finish setup for the new business. The switcher automatically points at the new business afterwards.

For the longer walk-through and settings that follow, see Adding Your Website.

Switching Between Businesses

Click the Business Switcher and pick a business from the list. The page you are on refilters to that business without a full reload. If a chatbot or FAQ you were editing does not belong to the newly selected business, Boei returns you to the list.

If you have more than five businesses, the dropdown shows the first five and a Show all entry that opens the full websites list.

When to Use Multiple Businesses

Add a new business (rather than reusing an existing one) when:

  • You have separate brands with different audiences
  • The site is in a different language than your main site
  • The site has its own products, pricing, or support team
  • You want isolated widgets and per-business chatbot training

If you just want the same widget on a different URL, use page conditions on your existing widget instead. That does not need a new business.

Chatbot and FAQ Scope

New chatbots and FAQs default to the business selected in the switcher when you create them. You can also mark a chatbot or FAQ as Global so it is available to every business on the account.

  • Widgets are always tied to a single domain.
  • Chatbots can be per-business (default) or Global.
  • FAQs can be per-business (default) or Global.

A Global chatbot can only pair with a Global FAQ. A per-business chatbot can pair with either its own business's FAQ or a Global one. See Chatbot Settings and FAQ Scope for how to change scope on an existing item.

Domain Limits

Each plan includes a fixed number of businesses. If you reach the limit, adding a new business is blocked until you upgrade or remove an unused one.

See Plans and Pricing for the domain count per plan.
