When you no longer want Boei on a website, remove it from your account to free up a domain slot and stop billing related usage.
How to get there: Go to Setup → Business in the top menu → click the website → scroll to the bottom → click Delete website.
What Gets Removed
Removing a website deletes:
- All widgets attached to that website
- All chatbots and their training content for that website
- All FAQ collections scoped to that website
- All page conditions and business hours settings
It does not delete:
- Inbox conversations (kept for the retention period)
- Contacts and leads collected (kept for the retention period)
- Analytics history (kept and visible in archived reports)
Your data retention policy governs how long that data stays.
Before You Remove
We recommend:
- Uninstall the widget code from the website first so visitors do not see broken behavior
- Export any leads you want to keep via the REST API or Inbox export
- Disable scheduled emails that target this website's contacts
Recovering a Deleted Website
A deleted website cannot be restored from the UI. If you remove a website by mistake, contact support within 7 days and we can usually recover it from backups.
Domain Slot Freed
After removal, your domain count drops by one and you can add another website without upgrading your plan.
