Removing a Website

When you no longer want Boei on a website, remove it from your account to free up a domain slot and stop billing related usage.

How to get there: Go to Setup → Business in the top menu → click the website → Profile → Danger Zone → click Delete Business.

30-Day Recovery Period

Deleting a business moves it and its linked data to the trash for 30 days. Its widgets and integrations stop working immediately, and the business no longer appears in the dashboard.

The business cannot be restored from the dashboard. Contact support within 30 days if the deletion was accidental.

After 30 days, Boei permanently deletes the business and applies the normal deletion rules to its linked records:

  • Widgets, page conditions, Inbox channels, provider accounts and playbooks are removed.
  • Conversations, contacts and deals remain subject to their configured retention policy.
  • Chatbots and FAQ collections that remain account-owned lose their deleted business association.

Your data retention policy governs how long retained customer data stays.

Before You Remove

If this business is a duplicate of another business and you want to keep its bots, conversations, contacts or deals, merge the businesses instead of deleting it.

We recommend:

  1. Uninstall the widget code from the website first so visitors do not see broken behavior
  2. Export any leads you want to keep via the REST API or Inbox export
  3. Disable scheduled emails that target this website's contacts

Domain Slot Freed

After removal, your domain count drops by one and you can add another website without upgrading your plan.
