Organize your deals into rows (swimlanes) for better organization when managing multiple projects, clients, or teams.
How to get there: Go to Deals in the top menu → use the row headers on the kanban board.
What Are Rows?
Rows are horizontal groupings on your kanban board:
- Each row can represent a project, client, or team
- Deals in a row move through stages independently
- See all your pipelines at once
Simple View vs Swimlane View
Simple View (No Rows)
When you haven't created any rows:
- All deals appear in a single kanban board
- Stages are columns
- Best for simple pipelines
Swimlane View (With Rows)
When rows exist:
- Each row is a horizontal swimlane
- Each swimlane has all stage columns
- Deals can be in a specific row AND stage
Adding Rows
- Click Add Row on the deals page
- Enter a name for the row
- The new row appears on the board
Renaming Rows
- Click on the row name
- Edit the text
- Press Enter or click away to save
Reordering Rows
- Click and drag the row header
- Move up or down
- Release to set new position
Deleting Rows
- Click delete on the row
- Confirm deletion
- Deals in that row move to "Ungrouped"
The Ungrouped Row
Deals without a row assignment appear in "Ungrouped":
- Always shown at the bottom (or top)
- Move deals from here into specific rows
- Good for new deals that haven't been categorized
Moving Deals Between Rows
- Drag a deal card
- Drop it in a different row
- The deal stays in the same stage but changes row
You can also change row AND stage in one drag:
- Pick up the deal
- Drop in a different row's stage column
When to Use Rows
Multiple Projects
Create a row for each project to track deals separately.
Different Clients
Agencies can use rows for different client accounts.
Team Organization
Assign rows to different sales teams or reps.
Product Lines
Track deals for different products in separate rows.
Best Practices
- Name rows clearly - Use client/project names
- Don't overdo it - Too many rows can be overwhelming
- Review regularly - Archive or delete unused rows
- Use with stages - Rows complement stages, not replace them
