Adding Your Website

Connect your website to Boei to start creating widgets and engaging with visitors.

How to get there: Go to Setup → Business in the top menu → click Add Website.

Adding a Website

  1. Log into your Boei account
  2. Click Add Website or go to Websites
  3. Enter your website URL
  4. Click Add

Alternative: Add from the Business Switcher

Once you already have at least one business, you can add another from anywhere in Setup without leaving the page you are on:

  1. Open Setup in the top menu
  2. Click the Business Switcher at the top of the Setup submenu
  3. Click + Add business at the bottom of the dropdown
  4. Enter the URL and click Create

Boei drops you into the onboarding wizard for the new business and switches the Business Switcher to it automatically. See Multiple Websites for how the switcher scopes the rest of Setup.

Website Settings

After adding, configure your website:

Basic Information

  • Name - Display name in your dashboard
  • URL - Your website address
  • Category - Type of business

Team Access

Choose who can manage this website:

  • Assign team members
  • Set permissions

Creating Your First Widget

After adding your website:

  1. Click Create Widget
  2. Choose widget type and channels
  3. Customize appearance
  4. Install on your site

Multiple Websites

You can add multiple websites to your account:

  • Each website has separate widgets
  • Analytics are tracked per website
  • Use subaccounts for client websites
