Customize how your chatbot looks and feels, including colors, conversation starters, and branding.
How to get there: Go to Setup → Chatbot in the top menu → click your chatbot → Identity section in the sidebar.
Found in the Identity → Conversation Starters tab. Quick-action buttons that help visitors get started. Examples:
Add up to 4 conversation starters to guide common questions.
Also found in the Conversation Starters tab, under the Enable AI-generated quick-reply chips toggle.
When enabled, the AI can show tap-to-answer buttons underneath its messages during intake questions. For example, if the bot asks "What's your budget range?" it can show buttons like "Under €1000", "€1000 - €5000", "Over €5000", plus a "Something else" option. The AI decides when and what to offer based on the conversation.
Notes:
Found in the Identity → Branding tab.
By default, your chatbot inherits colors from the widget it's installed on. You'll see: "Colors follow [Widget Name]" with two options:
Click Reset to Widget to go back to following the widget design.
When custom colors are enabled, the Visual Editor lets you customize every part of the chatbot:
Found in the Identity → Full-page chat tab. Configure the chatbot to run as a full-page experience instead of a widget popup.
Found in the Identity → Privacy tab. Configure consent collection before conversations begin. See Pre-chat consent for details.
Visitors can upload files during conversations. See Visitor attachments for supported file types, limits, and how to turn it off.
